There are dozens of temporary email services online, and most of them look identical. But under the surface they differ significantly in delivery speed, privacy practices, developer usability, and how often they get blocked.
We tested four of the most widely used services: FreeMailTools, Mailinator, Temp-Mail, and 10 Minute Mail.
FreeMailTools Temporary Email

Domain blocking: Very common — Mailinator is on most disposable email blocklists
Privacy: Zero. All public inboxes are openly readable

Blocking: The Elephant in the Room
All disposable email services get blocked to varying degrees. Mailinator's public domains are on virtually every disposable email detection list. Temp-Mail rotates domains aggressively. FreeMailTools uses less well-known domains and is less commonly blocked than Mailinator.
If a service explicitly blocks disposable email and you need a temporary address that gets through, the only reliable options are a custom domain catch-all inbox or a reputable alias service like SimpleLogin.
